Anxiety
Anxiety

Anxiety is often associated with fearing the unknown. Have you ever felt worried that something is going to go horribly wrong?  Whether the fear is warranted or not, it is the "what-if" that causes us to forego rationalizing the appropriate mood. If you feel this is true, then know that it is largely treatable without medication.

Depression
Depression

While scientist understand the chemical imbalances that occur when you are sad, it is largely not known as the true cause of depression. Your life experiences are important and fragile. Therefore, it is important address depression in a slow and fostering manner.

Relationships
Relationships

Relationship problems are mostly rooted in communication. Have you ever wanted to say something but didn't have the words? Or, have you ever wondered why you or your partner struggle with talking about feelings? It is because we communicate with our partners the way we were taught by our parents, which is a completely different way of communication.

Trauma
Trauma

Traumatic events often change the way we view the world. While our memory cannot be erased, we can come to understand the trauma as being an event that we experienced, not necessarily one that has to haunt us. The struggle to find peace with the trauma can seem daunting, but with psychotherapy, you can begin to feel whole again.

Adolescent Therapy
Adolescent Therapy

Adolescence is hard. The nagging teachers, parent's expectations, homework, relationships, and fighting against peer pressure is something very difficult to experience without getting a few bumps or bruises. Finding an outside person (therapist) to help make sense of these life stressors can help prevent the adolescent from reaching out to unfavorable people or substances for comfort.
